UEFA Champions League: Group Stage Matchday 3 Results

UEFA Champions League: Group Stage pt 4

Matchday 4 ⚽️๐Ÿ†

Welcome folks !!

The 4th matchday of the Champions League has come and gone. Congratulations to PSG and Bayern Munich for qualifying for the last 16 of the competition, they’ve both incredibly maintained 100% records in their respective groups. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿฝ Man City and Juventus also look to be qualifying for the last 16 as they sit pretty at the top of their groups.

This matchday didn’t feel as lively as the last one (or maybe it’s me ๐Ÿค”๐Ÿ˜ด), but it did have some lively games.  Chelsea looked to have lost against Ajax when suddenly, Ajax got 2 of their defenders sent off, giving Chelsea the chance to score 2 goals and hand us a goal-fest of a game ๐Ÿ˜‹๐Ÿฟ. Dortmund came back from two goals down to defeat Inter Milan at the Signal Iduna Park. I honestly thought Dortmund were going to struggle in that one. Barcelona do not look like the team that bulldozes everyone in their group anymore. They sit one point ahead of Dortmund with two games to go.  Group E was a far cry from the last matchday. Liverpool had to edge Genk at Anfield and Napoli shared the spoils with Salzburg, Haaland was on target ๐ŸŽฏ again. Lyon got their revenge against Benfica in France, former Man Utd player Memphis Depay was on target ๐ŸŽฏ in that game as well.

Funny enough, Juventus replicated their score line against Lokomotiv in the last matchday, and the manner of their victory. Ramsey poked away a potential CR7 goal in that game ๐Ÿ˜œ. Kudos to Real Madrid youngster, Rodrygo, he scored a perfect hat-trick against Galatasaray and is the youngest player in the Champions League to do so ๐ŸŽฉ. Tottenham hammered away Red Star Belgrade in Serbia to maintain second spot in their group. The way in which the first goal in that game was scored was pretty arresting ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚❗️ Kyle Walker became a goalkeeper for Man City against Atalanta as the game finished in a draw. Claudio Bravo received a red card in the late stages of the game. Leverkusen produced a stunning performance to stun Atletico Madrid in their game. PSG wore their away kit at home for the second time this season ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿฝ‍♂️.

Well I guess by Matchday 5 a lot of interesting verdicts will be made and we will have more teams qualify for the last 16. Warm hearts go to the teams that won’t have a chance of qualification and end up going to the Europa League ❤️๐Ÿ˜

This marks the end of this post. See you next matchday ❗️๐Ÿ›ฃ
