South Korea’s very own Superman ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿฆธ๐Ÿพ‍♂️๐Ÿ‡ฐ๐Ÿ‡ท. This guy has really grown into a top-class player. Son makes the series because he’s played the least amount of minutes of the top 10 forwards I viewed on uefa.com and was able to rack up the amount of goals he has in that time span. Unfortunately for Son and Spurs, just like last week with Hakimi, exited the competition. Nonetheless, this guy is fast, hardworking and clinical in front of goal.

Notable Performances

VS Bayern Munich, Matchday 2
Well you guys have watched this game quite a lot now ๐Ÿ˜‚. Son opened the scoring in this game after his one-touch shot which Neuer was able to get a hand to but wasn’t able to keep out. Bayern managed to claw their way back into the game, majorly. Serge Gnabry being the man of the match instead.

Champions League: Bayern Munich hammer Tottenham 7-2
Not a bad opening goal

VS Red Star Belgrade, Matchday 3
Spurs were flying in this game after Son scored a first-half brace. Harry Kane also got a brace too and Erik Lamela got his goal in the second half, after he played a precisely waited cross for Son’s first goal in the first half though. It was a neat finish, with Son side-footing the ball with his left foot right into the net ⚽️๐Ÿ”ฅ. Son’s second goal, came from a counterattack triggered by Tanguy Ndombele, who found Son sprinting his way to the pass and cooly shooting past the Red Star goalie.

VS Red Star Belgrade, Matchday 4
Well what do ya know. Another brace for Son and another four goals scored by Tottenham against Red Star. Son scored a power-strike with his left boot for the first goal in the second half of the game, after Spurs tore open the Red Star defense with a swift counterattack . Son then found the net again 4 minutes later, as Danny Rose drove the ball across Red Star’s penalty area for Son to drill the ball right into the roof of the net ๐Ÿงจ⚽️.

VS Olympiacos, Matchday 5
No goals from the South Korean but an assist in this game. It came in the 73rd minute. Dele Alli lobs the ball and Son manages to flick it deftly with his head and the ball falls into Serge Aurier’s path and boy wasn’t it a fizzzerr ๐Ÿ˜. That was Jose Mourinho’s second Spurs game in charge and the team was looking good.

Final Thoughts
Truly a special player. Son Heung-Min plus Harry Kane (will look at him later) and Tottenham played really well this season. Despite losing to Bayern Munich and RB Leipzig twice, the London-based team put up strong performances against Red Star Belgrade and Olympiacos. Son himself proved important in that process, just adding the goals in ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿฝ⚽️⚽️. Son was a combination of pace, composure and finishing, the kind of traits any striker needs. It was really cool watching him.
