SHORT NOTICE ⚽️🏆: Champions League could be completed in August

Hello everyone 

As we’ve all been waiting for the return of football and having seen the top domestic leagues in Europe starting to return, we also wonder whether that will be a similar case with the UEFA Champions League. Well, news on that is coming by tomorrow.

I read news from BBC Sport and Sky Sports about a possible return of the competition. It’s been discussed, by UEFA executives, that the competition could become a mini-tournament and teams may just play single legs to quicken the concluding of the competition. So far, 4 teams have qualified for the quarter-finals and the other teams hadn’t been decided due to football being suspended by that time. The teams that qualified include: Atalanta, RB Leipzig, Paris-Saint Germain and Atletico Madrid. The other teams that hadn’t qualified include second leg clashes of clubs such as:

Bayern Munich vs Chelsea (3-0, 1st leg)

Man City vs Real Madrid (2-1, 1st leg)

Juventus vs Lyon (0-1, 1st leg)

Barcelona vs Napoli (1-1, 1st leg)

(Games that I couldn’t get to comment about too 😁)

UEFA also intends to host its final games in Lisbon, Portugal, because, that’s what they saw as reasonable 💁🏽‍♂️. The UEFA Europa League is under discussion, as well, of being hosted in Germany. UEFA intends to bring the Champions League back by 23 August. Hopefully, we shall receive further feedback about this tomorrow.
