Paris Saint-Germain vs Manchester City

RESULT: 2-0

PSG goals: Idrissa Gueye 8', Lionel Messi 74'

A rematch between two of the richest clubs in Europe. Man City looked to make it 3 on the spin but that wasn't going to be the case. Idrissa Gueye drew first blood for the French team to give them the lead in the first-half. In the second-half, who else but Lionel Messi, with a trademark goal, sealed the game for PSG. And it was his first goal for his new club ๐Ÿคฏ. 



Porto vs Liverpool

RESULT: 1-5

Porto goals: Mehdi Taremi 74'

Liverpool goals: Mohamed Salah 18', 60', Sadio Mane 45', Roberto Firmino 77', 81'

Liverpool and being in Portugal? Running riot! The Reds absolutely destroyed Porto as Mo Salah bagged a brace, Bobby Firmino bagged a brace and Sadio Mane grabbed a solo goal. Mehdi Taremi salvaged one goal back for the home team but proved futile as Liverpool have now scored 8 goals in their first 2 Champions League games of this season.



Real Marid vs Sheriff 

RESULT: 1-2

Real Madrid goals: Karim Benzema 65' (p)

Sheriff goals: Jasurbek Yakhshiboev 25', Sebastien Thill 89'

Real Madrid were at the end of a shock defeat in this one. Moldovan team, Sheriff, in their first ever Champions League campaign, defeated the all-time winners of the competition. They found the lead in the first-half before Karim Benzema equalized for Los Blancos in the second-half. Sebastien Thill would end up unleashing a gorgeous strike to break the home team's hearts and seal a famous win.

Bayern Munich vs Dynamo Kyiv 

RESULT: 5-0 

Bayern goals: Robert Lewandowski 12' (p), 27', Serge Gnabry 68', Leroy Sane 74', Eric Choupo-Moting 87'

Bayern Munich ran rampant on Dynamo Kyiv at home, showing everyone why they are a force to be reckoned with this season. Robert Lewandowski claimed 2 goals in the first-half, Serge Gnabry sprinted forward for the third, Leroy Sane produced a moment of magic for the fourth goal and Eric Choupo-Moting finished everything off with the fifth and final goal. Oh, did I leave any other details? Nope!



Manchester United vs Villarreal

RESULT: 2-1 

Man United goals: Alex Telles 60', Cristiano Ronaldo 90 +5'

Villarreal goals: Paco Alcacer 53'

Man United must have definitely pulled a rabbit out of the hole after their stunning comeback in this game. Paco Alcacer toe-pocked his goal to give the Spanish team the lead in the second-half. 7 minutes later, Alex Telles got United back on level terms with an exquisite left foot finish. The drama didn't end there as Man United got the all-important winner. Cristiano Ronaldo scored yet another historic goal in his illustrious career as he became the player with the most appearances in the UEFA Champions League, yet another record-breaking feat by him.



Benfica vs Barcelona 

RESULT: 3-0

Benfica goals: Darwin Nunez 3', 79' (p), Rafa Silva 69'

Barca red cards: Eric Garcia 87'

Benfica emerged triumphant against a woeful Barcelona side who if not careful, will play Europa League football by the end of this year ๐Ÿ‘€๐Ÿ˜‚. Darwin Nunez got the Portuguese side flying in 3 minutes as he bamboozled the Barca defence. Rafa Silva doubled the lead in the second-half with a well struck rebound before Nunez bagged his brace and Benfica's third. It went from bad to worse for the away team as Eric Garcia received a second yellow card and was sent down the tunnel. Oh, how the mighty have fallen!
